Shakespeare Soliloquy Paper
In a well-constructed formal essay of a 1200-1500 words, analyze/explicate a soliloquy of your choice from Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Othello, Taming of the Shrew, Twelfth Night, or Merchant of Venice.
1) Look at the soliloquy as a piece of poetry, picking out images and unique word usage, and determining why Shakespeare says what he says the way he says it.
2) Look at the soliloquy to determine why it’s where it is in the play.
3) Unite your observations under some overriding point; what do we learn from all of this?
