Reflection Paper 2: DUE 3/21/22
1) What have I come to understand regarding my role in the perpetuation of systemic/institutional
oppression (please focus on one/two form/s of systemic or institutional oppression)? 2) What are
some areas that you find yourself still struggling with related to the course content? What are some
steps that you can take to address these struggles and further the development of your critical
consciousness?
The reflection papers must include reactions to the required readings. They should be between 4- 5
typed, double-spaced pages. The paper should cite at least 5 different references from required
class readings (book chapters and articles) with no more than 2 references from online media sources
taken from the syllabus. Videos and power points can be cited but do not count as any of the 5
required references. The papers should be in APA format and include a title and reference page (these
pages do not count in the page limit). Also, an abstract is not required and first person centered
language can be used. The more you can make links between content in different class sessions, the
more deeply you will be able to connect themes, integrate insights, and build understanding.
